Outside Bar is nice place to be on a cape summer night. My friends and I unfortunately came here for a bachelorette and this place was horrible, please avoid at all costs.
The bouncers, Dj, bartenders, shot girl, every other guest was amazing and worthy of better places but the owner was the most god awful man that should really rethink being in the hospitality industry. The owner preyed on girls and attacked them for the same offenses that men would do but went after them cause they were easy prey. He insulted a party of women saying "no fat girls allowed" to folks that were a size 4.
I will never be back based on the way the disgusting owner acted towards young girls. Judging by the previous reviews here and on facebook this is not an isolated incident. Some advice - please grow up and respect the people who choose to spend their money at your business. It's bars like this that are a blight on the Cape's reputation. The marina deserves better. As we were walking in, we weren't even sure if we should stay, it was a chilly afternoon, only one family at one table.
As we were standing there trying to decide if we should stay, John came right up to us, made us feel so welcome so we decided to give it a try. John turned on the fire pit table by the couches and as we began to warm up we settled in for a great experience. Ashley, our server, was wonderful-her suggestions for food and drink were spot on. Sitting pool side, outside, next to the docks filled with boats of every kind was perfect!
We will definitely be back!!! It is tucked away-kind of hard to find, but very much worth the effort. The door was locked despite stating they were open till 1 AM.
My daughters turned to leave when finding the front door locked but the owner, clearly drunk, yelled for them to follow him to another door and commenced to tell them they were closing early because they were expecting a visit from Donald Trump. They were terrified and had locked the doors just in time. After driving away and calming down - they made it to Embargo - which has owners and servers who are professional and respect their customers.
Well aren't you a little fun bar? There's literally a pool There's no swim up bar, but all the tables are surrounding the pool. Apparently this place can get hoppin. The food was ok. The servers were friendly It's right on the water so there's a good view and a nice breeze.
It's not anything fancy, but a good place to stop by for lunch or party it up at night. We scored a corner couch spot which was perfect for us. Food was pricey but that is to be expected in the came. The "Electric Lemonade" was so delicious, it was dangerous. The pool was refreshing and the place seemed clean. There was a good mix of couples, groups of friends and kids, we didn't feel like we stuck out though as a group of bachelorettes.
We liked it so much during the day that we came back "after-dark" to do some dancing around the pool. I took a stay away only because I think the staff could've been a bit more friendly.
I went here for the first time with a couple of my girlfriends.. The view of the boats and ocean was so pretty! They had just gotten a new fire-pit and outdoor couches which we sat in all night.
Although I thought it was just a bar they're food ended up being really good. At night they have a DJ and a tiki bar with an awesome bartender that makes yummy and strong drinks! Definitely will come back next time on the cape. We had a table right by the pool on such as lovely day. I think the food is a bit overpriced here, but it was pretty good. The location was one of the best parts since there was a pool and it is right next to the marina. As a native of South Florida, I've considerable expertise with waterfront drinking.
Pretty simple formula, most believe; take open water, add alcohol. But nay good sir. There's more than a fine line separating whalers slowly tipping tall boys by the wharf, the bronzed and picturesque quaffing martinis on the rocky beaches of the French Riviera, gringos and locals alternating between napping and shooting mezcal in Tijuana and, well, how ever you'd describe the shit that goes down in South Beach.
That said, if you slam the atmospheric apple corer over the latter and shift the little nugget to the Cape, you've got yourself Trader Ed's. While the beautiful, sparkly-pocketed staff can afford to be curt and catty, they aren't. Quite the opposite, in fact, as Allie defined service with a smile - quick with a joke and when the sun shifted the pair of designer shades off her head.
Food's moderate and the mixed specialty drinks read straight from a seaside frat menu. Probably not my scene if under a roof, but because it ain't, I'd definitely swing by again. Our bachelorette party came here this past weekend since all of the Yelp reviews were mostly great, but unfortunately we were left with a very sour experience after leaving Trader Ed's.
The female waitress came up to our group with the line, "Who's the bride?! Let me get you guys something!!! At the third round, she decided to slip in, "let me know who to give the check to". This seemed to be quite the theme at Trader Ed's, because the owner himself knew how to scheme the crowd. Well, turns out our bride "won" the dance competition, and when she went to go claim her prize the owner simply scoffed at her.
Specifically, he pointed to a yacht and said, "You see that yacht over there? I want that yacht, but I can't have it. We can't always have what we want, get it? There are plenty of places in town that are way more entertaining Beech Tree and much less slimy. Right on the water at Hyannis Marina. FYI I have never seen the pool open at night I think it is a safety thing. If I could give 6 stars I would! This is the best place on earth. All of the servers are spicey babes and make me feel important and happy.
I mean come on, best case! Not really worth it. Menu on line is not the same as at the place. If you want to receive good quality customer service I do not recommend you come here. The management is absolutely absurd, rude, and disrespectful. Don't plan on getting a good bartender either. Trader Eds was first on our stop of bar hopping for a bachelorette night out.
The Bar tenders were extremely welcoming and nice! They even gave us a free round of shots to celebrate. Not only that but the owner called ahead to another bar to make sure we would be well received there and avoid paying a cover! I would definitely recommend going here. So friendly and nice! Let me preface this by saying that we called WAY ahead to alert the bar that we would be coming for a Bachelorette Party with around 20 girls.
We got there and waited and waited and waited for someone to come get our drinks. Some people got their drinks after 5 minutes others waited 45 minutes. At that point I was ready to leave but traveling in that large of a group is not easy. Our server told us this was her first time serving and she was working on her skills. Who gives a Bachelorette party of 20 a brand new server? So it came time to order our food, only half the food came out after about a half hour, people were still waiting for their drinks.More...
