Say you normally use about Ask those people that advertise in papers doing forex seminar. Are you trading it directly or via a broker? It's cheaper if you go through a broker because of the leverage.
Don't bother asking those people conducting 'Forex' seminars. Even 10k or 50k is enough, if you're good in forex. If you have a consistent edge, then you can figure out the amount of capital you need with considerations of how much you need for your expenses and how much to leave in the account for compounding and how much to set aside as buffer.
Go try trial account when you can earn more than your current salary than come and ask this question. No head no tail, where he is starting? No planning what your strategy? If so easy to do it full-time everyone don't need work liao. I'm not talking about me. I'm asking about you guys. How much do you think it's enough for you? With forex, it's possible with lesser capital, but the risk of losing it is much higher. You really have to get rid of emotion, have no liability and no stress to have a higher success rate in trading.
You ought to have other passive income coming in to support day trading imo. Capital is not an issue. You are better off buying the index. If you are asking this question means you are not ready. If you are asking for fun, it is ranging from about 50k to no maximum.
They uses leverage for a double edged sword. If you have been constantly trading, you would roughly know how much you need in capital to generate a constant flow of income with your strategy trades.

In order to be expert, I reckon 5 years of constant training. So stop dreaming to do full time forex if you have not played for 5 years with good results and no passive income to support down times. Actually, it is not impossible to make 78K from 1K, but but.. And also we need to look at that 78K account, say 1 or 2 years later. Is it still at 78K or 6.
